VW reveals Transporter facelift details

Date: 27 August 2009

Volkswagen has revealed details of the forthcoming revisions to its Transporter range, arriving early next year.

The current 2.5-litre powerplant has been replaced by a new line-up of four-cylinder 2.0-litre units, with a choice of four power outputs; 84PS, 102PS, 140PS and 180PS.

VW says it has reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by an average of 10%, ranging from 39.2mpg and 190g/km for the 84PS model to 37.7mpg and 190g/km for the 180PS.
