The start point for the best source of fleet information

Infiniti introduces sub-200g/km car

Date: 14 June 2010

Nissan's premium brand Infiniti will move into the fleet market by the end of year with the introduction of its first sub-200g/km car, the M.

Until now, its G37 was the lowest emitting car in the range at 249g/km. A V6 diesel EX30d 4x4 with 224g/km CO2 goes on sale in July but still fails to hit the sub-200g/km mark.

But the M, which launches in October, offers a "viable alternative" for fleets said an Infiniti spokesman.

"By the end of 2010, we will move into fleet, particularly small fleet and user chooser business.

"It's an unconventional choice - our customer want the rarity."

He added that there was a lot of interest from the chauffeur market for M: "Chauffeurs want something that stands out and along with one-to-one service and a sub-200g/km diesel car to offer, there's been a lot of interest."
