CV Show gets go-ahead for 2012

Date: 11 July 2011

The Commercial Vehicle Show organisers have announced that plans for a full-scale event next year have been given the green light.

The show will once more take place at Birmingham's NEC following the positive reaction to this year's exhibition, which attracted 16,000 visitors.

The organisers (the Road Haulage Association (RHA), the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders(SMMT) and IRTE Services, the trading company of the Society of Operations Engineers) have confirmed next year's dates as 24-26 April.

Crystal communications will manage the organisation of the show, including sales, marketing and operations.

SMMT boss Paul Everitt said: "The CV Show is a great opportunity to showcase the latest developments in road transport technology, demonstrating the industry's achievement's in lowering emissions and improving fuel efficiency. The 2012 CV Show is set to build on the success of this year's event, attracting an even greater range of exhibitors and creating new business opportunities."
