Hitachi e-commerce system enables company benchmarking

Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions is launching the second phases of its e-commerce system Capital View, which will provide customers with "business intelligence and analysis", said director of sales Phil Peace.
By inputting information, achievable in phase one, clients can now use data for benchmarking and league tables. "The advanced dashboard means you can introduce targets to create benchmarking. And league tables can be very successful, for example for speeding or parking fines," he added. "You often find the worst culprits for one are the same for another. This is one place to cut costs."
Peace also said there was the capability to benchmark against Hitachi's customer base and firms' peers, so long as consent and confidentiality was provided.
