TT Coupe adds lower-priced model

Date: 02 November 2011

Audi is boosting its TT coupe range by adding a 1.8 TFSI model to the line-up.

The 160hp engine, previously only available with the TT roadster, will sit beneath the 2.0 TFSI model, knocking around £3k off the range's entry price point. The car is available in Sport or S-line trims and there is a choice of six-speed manual or

seven-speed S-tronic twin-clutch transmissions. The latter emits 147g/km CO2 with consumption of 44.1mpg and 0-62mph of 7.1 seconds. Sport includes 17-inch alloys, climate control and iPod connectivity, while S-line versions have 18-inch alloys, lowered sport suspensions, S-line interior and Xenon headlights.
