The start point for the best source of fleet information

Yell does Mini Countryman deal

Date: 14 January 2011

Yell will upgrade its fleet of 50 pool cars to Mini Countrymans in the UK's largest single fleet order for the model, following whole-life cost analysis by leasing firm, Alphabet.

The deal, for which Alphabet is also Yell's funding partner, will save Yell £49,000 in whole-life costs over three years compared with its current Toyota Auris pool fleet.

It will also cut Yell's carbon footprint by over 200 tonnes across the duration of the contract, with the 64.0mpg Countrymans offering an estimated 31% increase in fuel-efficiency.

"Alphabet put together a solution that matches Yell's own values around modern flexible solutions, value for money and good environmental credentials," said Steve Walton, head of HR services for Yell. "The Countryman blends practicality with the latest technology."
