The start point for the best source of fleet information

FIRST PICTURES: New Seat Toledo

Date: 27 June 2012

Seat has released the first pictures and details of its new lower medium saloon launching in the UK early next year.

The Toledo is described as a "practical, top-quality and affordable car" by the VW-owned firm, and will launch with a number of power levels of the 1.2 and 1.4 petrol engines, and the 1.6 TDI diesel including an Ecomotive-badged version offering CO2 emissions of 104g/km. There will also be an Ecomotive petrol model offering 116g/km.

At 4.48 metres long, the Toledo is 16cm longer than its Leon hatchback sibling, and the same distance shorter than a Volkswagen Jetta, while matching Volvo's S40 saloon. Despite the saloon looks, the Toledo has a hatch boot for increased practicality, and Seat president James Muir declared it will be "a great car at a great price". More details, including engines, prices and trim levels, will be announced later this year.
