New Audi A3 revealed

Date: 01 March 2012

The first pictures of Audi's new A3, coming late this year, have emerged in leaked pictures published ahead of the car's public unveiling at the Geneva motor show on 6 March.

Details are still scarce, but first deliveries are due in the UK in the final quarter of 2012 for a car which follows Audi's usual pattern of evolutionary styling for a new model, rather than anything too radical. It does though take on the latest family face, as seen on the A1 and A4 among others.

The car will go head-to-head against BMW's new 1-series, BusinessCar's current Car of the Year, as well as two other Geneva debutants the new Mercedes A-class and Volvo V40. The premium end of the lower medium market is set for the fiercest battle it's ever seen, with four new models within 12 months offering business car drivers better quality and quantity of choice than ever before.

More information will be revealed next week, with full details expected over the summer.
