Shell opens UK's largest filling station on M25

Date: 08 October 2012   |   Author: Rachel Burgess

Shell has opened the UK's largest filling station on the southern section of the M25.

Located between junctions nine and 10, the site has 141 fuel nozzles, six high-speed HGV lanes and three Adblue pumps.

Shell claims it is the only filling station on the M25 to offer autogas and has the capacity to handle 3400 vehicles a day.

Its opening also heralds the removal of a long-standing, 40mph average speed check that has surrounded that area of the M25 during the site's construction.
