Vauxhall launches Combo Crew van

Vauxhall Combo

Vauxhall has opened the order book on its Combo Crew Van, offering the versatility of a five-seat layout and large load area in its well-received new light van.

The three-seat rear bench is fully integrated and factory-fitted, and will fold forward to increase the load capacity, while a ladder-style bulkhead is a no-cost option.

Vauxhall enjoyed success with its previous Combo Crew Van, and the latest model, based on the new Combo launched earlier this year, is available in the same two wheelbases and three engine choices as the panel van range.

Access to the rear seats is via non-glazed sliding twin rear doors, and the Crew Van is priced at a premium of £800 over the standard panel van.

The range consists of the 1.3-litre 90hp engine in standard and lower-emission Ecoflex trim, and the 105hp 1.6, with both L1H1 and L2H2 body styles on offer.

Orders are being taken now, with first deliveries taking place in the final quarter of 2012.

Vauxhall is targeting tradesmen such as builders, plumbers and landscapers that need to lug equipment and then occasionally also carry crews as prime customers.
