Mazda triples 6 demo fleet

Date: 07 June 2013   |   Author:

Mazda has increased the size of its new upper medium 6 model demo fleet from an originally intended 75 cars to 225, claiming strong demand from fleet managers and company car drivers fuelled the increase.

The increase will not only help to deal with any backlog of test drive requests, but Mazda said in some cases it will also allow the demo vehicle to stay with a business for longer, with the manufacturer offering loans of up to seven days rather than the regular three.

The company said up to two-thirds of Mazda 6 sales will be to corporate drivers.

Mazda has also given the go-ahead for its dealers to increase their numbers, with the intention of loaning them to small local businesses.

"The all-new Mazda 6 is the most important model in the Mazda range," said head of fleet Steve Tomlinson.

"As well as already making multiple unit sales to existing corporate customers, we are opening new accounts with organisations we are speaking to for the first time."
