Suzuki appoints corporate sales and leasing boss

Date: 28 October 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Suzuki has made another effort to step up its game in the fleet arena by appointing a new, field-based corporate sales and leasing manager. Helen Ward joined the firm this month in the newly created role, before which she worked for Vauxhall and Toyota and leaves her former position as leasing manager at Honda.

She is now responsible for developing fleet sales through leasing firms, Suzuki's Contract Hire and through the company's affinity partner business, and reports in to national corporate sales and remarketing manager Andrew Wale.

Ward said of the move: "We are now well equipped to capitalise upon the opportunities present within the fleet market in both the corporate and public sectors.

"The S-cross is the trigger car to help us raise our profile and grow our fleet presence, and the first in a fleet-appropriate line-up of cars due for launch over the next five years."

Her appointment is the latest in a number of moves into the fleet arena by the Japanese company, which has only recently begun to seriously engage with the corporate market.
