Date: 08 July 2013   |   Author: Alisdair Suttie

Vauxhall's Insignia Country Tourer will have four-wheel drive and a 20mm higher ride height

Vauxhall has revealed the first images of its new range-topping Insignia estate faux-off-roader.

As revealed by BusinessCar's 25 June issue, the new model will be called Country Tourer, and features all-wheel drive, 20mm higher ground clearance and off-roader styling including protective cladding around the wheel arches and under the engine compartment.

Two engines are offered: the 165hp 2.0-litre and the 195hp Bi-turbo diesel alternatives, the latter only as an automatic.

Prices and more information will be revealed in September, ahead of the car's UK arrival at the end of the year.
