Zenith achieves seven day defleet to sale time

Date: 27 November 2013   |   Author: Will Stretton

Leasing company Zenith has claimed that it is achieving a consistent defleet to sale time of seven days through the use of the e-commerce system, 1link Disposal Network.

The platform was adopted by Zenith in 2006 to replace its in-house disposal channels.

Mike Burn, head of remarketing at Zenith, said: "The most important way in which we use the 1link Disposal Network is to hold timed auctions online every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Over time, we have learnt what works best and our approach now is to provide a 48-hour viewing window for buyers with nine high quality images of the vehicle"

Burn claimed this approach has enabled Zenith to sell 70-80% of its stock to the trade buyer network while the other 20-30% is sold through auctions.

He added: "1link Disposal Network provides us with a low cost, highly effective and flexible route to market.
