No change to Advisory Fuel Rates

Date: 12 March 2014

HM Revenue & Customs has confirmed that there are no changes to the Advisory Fuel Rates paid to company car drivers using their vehicle on work business.

Reviewed every three months, HMRC decided that fuel prices had remained steady enough since the last analysis in late November, so there is no need to move them.

The next review of rates, which vary from 9-24p per mile depending on fuel type and engine size, will take place in late May.

The rates across all bands of petrol and diesel, apart from diesel models under 1601cc, were cut in November in the wake of improving vehicle efficiency and falling fuel prices.
