The start point for the best source of fleet information

Safety charity issues blind spot warning

Date: 17 July 2014   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Road safety charity Brake is reminding car and light commercial vehicle drivers to minimise the risk to vulnerable road users by addressing the issue of blind spots.

The organisation has released an advice sheet on the topic, illustrating how fleets can reduce the danger their vehicles pose to pedestrians or cyclists via, for example, technology, risk assessment, driver engagement and vehicle selection.

The Protecting Vulnerable Road Users from Vehicle Blind Spots guide is free of charge to Brake subscribers and costs £5 to others, although the first 25 non-subscribers to request a copy from Brake's website will get it for nothing.
