Allstar wins fuel card contract with Spie UK

Date: 24 July 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Allstar, the new sponsor of BusinessCar's sister magazine What Van?'s annual awards, has won a fuel card contract with Spie UK.

Spie UK operates more than 1000 vehicles ranging from light commercial vehicles (two thirds), cars (a third), plus a small number of HGVs.

Spie awarded the contract to Allstar following what it described as an extensive tender process. Previously, the firm operated eight different fuel card accounts with a range of services which it said wasted valuable time and resources.

"The key part of the tender process was network size, so it was essential the fuel card supplier we worked with could provide the biggest network possible," said Patrick Nolan, fleet manager for Spie UK. "We awarded the contract to Allstar based on the fact that it does operate the largest and most convenient fuel network, that all fuel transactions are sent to us in one HMRC approved invoice and that their cards provide a high level of control to restrict drivers to purchase fuel only."
