Date: 17 March 2015   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Valuations guide Glass's has appointed Steve Jackson as its chief car editor, following Rupert Pontin's promotion to head of valuations.

Jackson takes over from the previous role Pontin was in and is responsible for all car valuations and forecasts for the new and used markets.

Jackson previously worked as Leaseplan UK's general manager, overseeing its OEM vehicle repatriation programme. Prior to this, he worked in the Middle East with Manheim International.

"Having an in-depth knowledge of the expertise available here, I believe that our car data is the very best that can be found anywhere. Our drive over the coming months and years will be to take that message to all parts of the automotive market while making our information even better," said Jackson.

Jackson reports in to Pontin. Pontin moved to the position of head of valuations in October 2014.
