Seat to launch dealer fleet excellence scheme

Date: 14 March 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Seat has announced it will launch a programme to deliver higher levels of service to fleet customers via its dealer network.

Called Fleet Excellence, the scheme will offer funding to make fleet sales more attractive and to help improve the offering fleets are given.

It has been launched after the Spanish brand experienced four years of consecutive growth in fleet sales in the UK.

To be eligible for the £12,000-a-year funding, dealers will need to sell at least 100 vehicles a year to fleets with more than 40 units on their books, and at least two people within the dealer team will need to be trained on how to deal with fleet customers.

In addition, the showrooms will need to meet set standards on vehicle availability and the handover experience, Seat said.

"Fleet customers rightfully expect a good handover and service, but by supporting dealers with the necessary incentives and infrastructure, we can improve that level of service even more," said Peter McDonald, head of fleet and business sales at Seat. "The Fleet Excellence programme is built to make fleet sales more viable for our dealer network, and will encourage dealerships to make it a more significant part of their business going forward."
