Licence Check's Davis system gets updates including accident recording feature

Date: 28 March 2019   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Licence Check has announced upgrades for Davis, its cloud-based driver and vehicle compliance management system.

Among the updates, to be introduced from next month, is the addition of an accident recording feature that will allow users of the Davis Fleet File database to document accidents against a specific vehicle, and a named driver.

It records the date, time and location of the accident and provides an enhanced dashboard display that shows recent accidents and accident severity.

It also issues reminders for open accidents and outstanding issues, provides an upload facility for images of vehicle damage and carries insurance claim details.

The Davis driver risk score feature has also been updated to calculate the associated risk of a particular accident so that a driver's individual risk score is automatically updated.

Other changes to Davis include enhanced licence checking, with company car drivers now able to add their spouses or partners to the licence checking system rather than relying on system administrators, with a reduced number of steps.

A new two-factor authentication system is also being introduced to improve security.

Licence Check director of sales Richard Brown said: "It has been particularly rewarding to work on these important new releases for Davis, as we know from client research that they will have a positive impact on improving efficiency and transparency when managing driver and vehicle compliance."
