Hyundai has revealed specs and prices for the petrol and hybrid versions of its new Kona SUV.

The model will be available with a choice of 1.0-litre, 120hp and 1.6-litre, 198hp petrol engines, and with a hybrid powertrain with a total output of 141hp. These will sit alongside the previously announced pure EV powertrain options in the range.

Provisional CO2 emissions figures are 131-150g/km for the petrol engines, and 101-117g/km for the hybrid.

The 120hp petrol and hybrid powertrains will be available with a choice of Advance, N Line, N Line S, and Ultimate equipment grades, while the 198hp petrol will only be available with N Line S and Ultimate grades.

Standard equipment with the Advance grade includes 17in alloy wheels (18in with hybrids), a rear spoiler, roof rails, front and rear skid plates, dual-zone climate control, an automatic rear-view dimming mirror, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, cruise control (smart cruise control with stop and go function on hybrid and DCT models), front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, keyless entry and go, dual 12.3in screens, sat-nav, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, and front and rear USB-C ports.

Further equipment with the Ultimate grade includes a full width centre daytime running light with full projection LED headlights, leather seats, an opening sunroof, a Bose premium sound system, blind spot collision avoidance assist, rear cross traffic collision avoidance assist, parking distance warning (side function), Parking Collision Avoidance Assist (reverse function), Safe Exit Warning and Surround View Monitor.

The N Line grades offer a more sports-inspired aesthetic, with N Line spec including a dedicated front and rear bumper design, side skirts, 18in alloy wheels, twin exhaust tips, black gloss door mirrors, body-coloured wheel arch inserts, aluminium pedals, heated front and rear seats, interior ambient lighting, a power tailgate, a heated steering wheel, and a  wireless charging pad.

Further features of N Line S spec include heated and ventilated Alcantara and leather seats, three-zone air conditioning, a Bose premium sound system, and the same lighting and safety systems as the Ultimate grade.

Range prices start at £25,725 for a 120hp petrol Advance, and rise as high as £34,225 for a hybrid N Line S or Ultimate.

Hyundai says further details of electric versions will be announced in early summer.
