Specs and prices announced for electric Jeep Avenger 1st Edition

Jeep has opened pre-orders for the first version of its new electric Avenger SUV that is heading to the UK.

The Avenger features a 156hp electric powertrain, and a range of up to 248 miles between charges.

It will initially arrive as a 1st Edition model, before the full range launches in June.

Spec features include a black roof, privacy glass, and 18in alloy wheels.

SelecTerrain and hill descent control systems are standard, while other driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control with lane centering and traffic jam assist, blind spot monitoring, and traffic sign recognition with intelligent speed assist, 360-degree parking sensors, and a 180-degree reversing camera.

Other features include a 10.25in touchscreen, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless smartphone charging, and keyless entry and go.

The Avenger 1st Edition is priced at £36,500.
