Ford unveils E-Tourneo Courier

Date: 15 May 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Ford has revealed the E-Tourneo Courier, an MPV based on its new E-Transit Courier compact electric van.

As with the van, the E-Tourneo Courier features a 136hp electric motor. Ford is yet to confirm details of the model's battery, but says it will be compatible with 100kW DC fast charging, allowing a 10-80% charge in 35 minutes. Alternatively, an AC onboard charger will allow a 10-100% charge in 7.8 hours.

Non-electric Tourneo Couriers will also be available, powered by a 125hp petrol engine, with a choice of six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic transmission.

With the rear seats in place, the E-Tourneo Courier offers 570 litres of boot space - up by 44% compared with the previous model. With the rear seats folded, a total of 2,162 litres of luggage space is available - and the E-Tourneo Courier also benefits from a 44-litre frunk.

Maximum towing weight is 700kg for the E-Tourneo Courier, and up to 1,000kg with the petrol version.

Interior features of the electric model include a 12in digital instrument cluster, and a 12in touchscreen running Ford's Sync 4 infotainment system.

The petrol Tourneo Courier will go on sale in mid-2023, with a choice of Active, Titanium, and Trend equipment grades.

The E-Tourneo Courier will go on sale in late-2024. Full UK specs and prices for both variants are yet to be announced.
