Driver training in our long term Hyundai i30
When choosing a car in which to do a day's driver training with DriveTech recently, I instinctively grabbed the i30 keys.
That's because the Hyundai is free of interior distractions, allowing me to fully concentrate on the on-road hazards when my every driving movement was being assessed.
The gear ratios are also well spaced, enabling me to change up or down when the road conditions demanded and not, for example, because the engine was spluttering when doing 20mph in third.
The high driving position - something I was initially unimpressed by - meant visibility was fantastic too.
