Not all speed bumps are created equal.
Some are hemispherical, some slopey, while others emerge from the road surface as an elongated half-hexagon shape, like some kind of brick and tarmac-covered whale. The latter very visually announce their presence and need care to straddle without leaving your car's undercarriage behind, but with my A5 it has been the innocuous gently slopey ones that have caught me out - even at 20-odd mph - coming as I have from a previous long-term high ground clearance crossover. The mental (and speed) adjustment has quickly been made but it illustrates that low-slung coupes require a different driving approach.
