Our Fleet Test Drive: Citroen DS5 Hybrid4 Dsport - 8th Report

Date: 13 June 2013   |   Author: Tristan Young

Model: Citroen DS5 Hybrid4 Dsport
Mileage: 5670
Our average consumption: 44.4mpg
Forecast CPM: 50.3p
Actual CPM: 52.3p

Unfortunately, this is becoming a bit of a tradition, but I can't get through a long-term test without writing about cupholders. Or in the Citroen DS5's case, the complete lack of cupholders.

Clearly the French just don't drink coffee in their cars; they probably pull over and sit on a street-side café. This may be much more social, but the busy British consume coffee on the move, or if not on the move then just in service station car parks while making phone calls.

The only solution is as the picture shows - just don't drive off like this.

Verdict

  • Looks stunning, very well equipped
  • No AM radio, poor mpg, no cup holder
