It doesn't always apply these days because of the diversity of the market, but still, ask someone to draw a company car and chances are they'll sketch a Mondeo-style upper medium saloon with a few toys, sailing along the motorway.
And that's how I spend most of my life in the car. My commute is 68 miles each way and consists almost entirely of motorway. Frequent runs to various corners of the country necessitate more of the same, so, whatever I'm driving, I'm usually making full use of Bluetooth and iPod connectivity - or digital radio.
The Optima conforms to all of those stereotypes and is, for all intents and purposes, most people's idea of an archetypal business car. It's swallowing the motorway miles exceptionally well and, being smart-looking, well-specced, easy to use and comfortable, it's tricky to beat at this £21,640 price point. For your average company car type like me, you've a real job to beat it without accommodating a taller P11D value.
The only problem is that it doesn't have a DAB, so I'm confined to the old-fashioned airwaves or the iPod. I'll survive, but it's one for Kia to consider for strength of RVs in future.
