Our Fleet Test Drive: Vauxhall Insignia - 3rd report

On two separate occasions, the same two warnings - in the shape of symbols plus accompanying messages on the driver's information screen - have appeared simultaneously on our Insignia
The first warning indicated that there is a fault with the electric parking brake, and that, according to the manual, is it operating with "degraded performance".
The second is for electronic stability control (ESC), and informs me, again, that there is a fault present. The manual advises that "Continued driving is possible" but that driving stability "may deteriorate depending on road-surface conditions".
On both occasions, the lights stayed on for a while, and on the first time that was despite several attempts at making them disappear by turning the ignition off then on again. Following that failed attempt, I consulted the manual.
For the electronic parking brake it offers a couple of simple engage/disengage fixes for the driver to try to see if they would resolve the problem, while for the ESC, it suggests having the cause remedied by a workshop. I didn't have to follow either course because on both occasions, time - leaving the car parked-up for an hour or so - turned off the alerts. However, if the issue arises again, I will be heading for the dealer.
