LeasePlan changes own fleet policy

Date: 16 November 2006

Europe's largest leasing firm LeasePlan is changing its internal car policy.

LeasePlan, the second largest UK fleet player, is switching from an all-makes policy at a set price banding to a solus deal for VW Group vehicles.

The move follows LeasePlan's sale to a consortium headed by VW in April 2004.

A LeasePlan insider told BusinessCar: "This means many of the directors will be switching out of their Mercs into Audis."
