FRANKFURT SHOW: Peugeot reveals electric Ion

Date: 09 September 2009

Peugeot Ion

As revealed by BusinessCar earlier this year, Peugeot will launch an all-electric city-car in 2010 called the Ion.

Co-developed with Mitsubishi, the Peugeot Ion will be unveiled at the Frankfurt motor show and has a range of 80 miles.

The four-door, four-seat car is 3.48m in length, is capable of speeds up to 80mph and is powered by a motor developing the equivalent of 64PS.

Pricing for the city-car will be revealed nearer the car's on-sale date at the end of 2010.
