BMW delivers 40 Olympic vehicles

Date: 02 April 2012

BMW has revealed its first Olympic vehicles.

BMW Group, the official automotive partner to the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games, has delivered the first 40 vehicles to be used at this summer's events.

The liveried vehicles, which consist of electric, diesel and hybrid cars and a range of motorcycles and bicycles, achieve the average 120g/km CO2 target set by the London 2012 Organising Committee.

BMW UK MD Tim Abbott said: "We were selected as a partner based on our ability to provide such a diverse fleet that could achieve the challenging emissions threshold."

BMW will provide 4000 vehicles in total this summer.
