Cumbria gains 13 electric charging points

Date: 28 April 2016   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Electric charging point provider Evolt has installed a network of rapid chargers in Cumbria.

Nine rapid chargers have been dotted around the county, with four further slower-to-charge fast chargers installed.

Evolt won the tender to supply charging points from Cumbria County Council last November.

"Up until now there have been limited charging facilities in Cumbria," said councilor Janet Willis, who is responsible for environmental issues.

"I'm sure this project will help open up the county to more electric vehicle drivers and make a real difference, both in Cumbria and nationally."
