Entry-level Mercedes-Benz SLC launched

Date: 09 May 2017   |   Author: Daniel Puddicombe

Mercedes-Benz has added an entry-level petrol engine to its SLC sports car.

The SLC is powered by a 156hp 1.6-litre petrol unit which emits 134.7mpg and returns 48.7mpg, placing it in the 25% benefit-in-kind band.

As standard, the model is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, air-conditioning and sports suspension.

Mercedes said the new addition makes the SLC more accessible than before, while the firm has discontinued the Sport trim level to make the range more simple, with AMG Line the only option.

The model is on-sale now, priced from £32,039, with deliveries commencing in the summer.
