Fiat adds S-Design trim to Tipo range

Date: 09 February 2018   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Fiat has announced a new range-topping trim level for its Tipo small family car.

Available as either a hatchback or an estate, the S-Design gets exterior additions including Bi-Xenon headlights - available for the first time on a Tipo - 18in alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, and gloss black trim around the grille, fog lights and mirror caps.

There is a choice of five paint colours including Street Grey, which is available only on the S-Design.

The interior gets new leather and fabric seats, double stitching on the gear knob and steering wheel, and gloss black accents on the dashboard and fascia.

There is also a Uconnect HD Live infotainment system running through a 7in touchscreen, with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Power for the S-Design comes from a 120hp, 1.4-litre petrol engine paired with a manual transmission.

It achieves an official combined fuel economy figure of 47.1mpg, CO2 emissions of 139g/km, and is able to accelerate from 0-62mph in 9.6 seconds.

The S-Design is available to order now and will be in dealerships from the end of February.

Prices for the trim start from £18,145 for the hatchback and £19,145 for the estate.
