Orders open for new Renault Scenic

Renault has confirmed UK specs and prices for its new Scenic, which is available to order now.

Previously an MPV, the Scenic name is now being applied to an all-electric crossover.

The model features a 220hp motor and an 87kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 379 miles between charges.

It is 4.47m long, 1.86m wide, and 1.57m high, with a 545-litre boot.

The new Scenic comes with a choice of Techno, Esprit Alpine, and Iconic equipment grades. 

Standard equipment with the Techno grade includes 19in alloy wheels, front and rear full LED lights, electric flush door handles, flush roof bars, a 12.3in driver display, and a 12in infotainment screen featuring Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play store connectivity.

Other standard features include wireless smartphone charging, automatic air conditioning, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, electric boot opening, front and rear park assist, and a reversing camera.

Other standard driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control, traffic and speed sign recognition, driver attention alert, distance warning alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, lane centring, active emergency braking system with pedestrian and cyclist detection, and blind spot warning. 

Further features with the Esprit Alpine grade include 20in alloy wheels and an array of Esprit Alpine and blue detailing, while the Iconic grade features an electric driver's seat with massage function, a Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, hands-free parking, a 360-degree camera system, and a smart rear-view mirror.

Prices start at £40,995 for the Techno grade, and rise to £43,495 for the Esprit Alpine grade, and £45,495 for Iconic. The first deliveries are expected in May.
