Ssangyong changes name to KGM

Date: 21 December 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Ssangyong Motors UK has announced a rebranding to KGM Motors UK with immediate effect.

The manufacturer, which produces models including the Tivoli, Korando, and Rexton SUVs, has also revealed a new logo, retaining the wing element from the previous Ssangyong design.

It claims the change signified a refresh of its brand vision, with a focus on the next generation of mobility solutions, and incorporating technologies such as electrification, autonomous driving, and artificial intelligence.

KGM Motors UK managing director Kevin Griffin said: "KGM Global has changed its name for the first time in 35-years as it transforms into a brand for the future.

"This is an exciting period for us all in terms of unveiling a refreshed, modern brand identity alongside the development and launch of impressive products which utilise new technologies.

"We have embraced the change here in the UK and we will continue to grow as a proud and respected SUV and pick-up truck brand."
