The start point for the best source of fleet information

PHL Group sees CO2 savings from Webfleet deployment

Date: 06 October 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Healthcare services provider PHL Group is said to have reduced CO2 emissions from its fleet by 8% in five months having introduced Webfleet fleet management products.

It is combining the Webfleet Work App with an integrated camera system that feeds into the Webfleet platform.

As well as improving driver behaviours, the system has also been integrated with the Adastra patient management system, allowing employee deployments to be streamlined.

PHL was advised on its Webfleet deployment by In Car Technology.

PHL fleet supervisor Chris Needham said: "The system's integral OptiDrive functionality is giving us a clearer picture of the performance of our drivers behind the wheel, enabling us to reduce incidents of idling by 11%, along with other inefficient driving behaviours that impact fleet emissions, including speeding, harsh steering and braking.

"Trends are closely monitored, with Webfleet detailing CO2 information about every vehicle and trip, and problem areas are then addressed during driver appraisals.

"Looking ahead, when the time comes Webfleet's EV fleet management solution will also help to ensure we take the most cost-effective route to electrification."
