New entry-level version of BMW iX1 joins range

Date: 05 September 2023   |   Author: Sean Keywood

BMW is introducing a new entry-level version of its iX1 electric SUV to its UK line-up.

The new eDrive20 variant features a single 204hp electric motor, and sits below the existing 313hp, dual-motor variant in the range.

The new powertrain gets the same 64.7kWh battery, with a provisional range of up to 296 miles on the WLTP cycle - higher than with the existing version.

A 0-100% battery charge is possible in six-and-a-half hours using standard 11kW AC charging - 22kW is optional. Alternatively, DC charging is possible at up to 130kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in 29 minutes.

The eDrive20 is available with a choice of Sport, xLine, and M Sport equipment grades, priced at £44,560, £46,560, and £49,310 respectively. Standard equipment throughout the range includes sat-nav, two-zone automatic air conditioning, a reversing camera, and BMW iDrive with 'QuickSelect' and the new BMW Operating System 9.

Orders are open now, with deliveries due to begin from the start of production in November.
