Date: 30 April 2024   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Cupra has unveiled facelifted versions of its Formentor SUV-coupe and Leon lower-medium car.

Among the updates to the models is a new-generation plug-in hybrid powertrain option, offering 272hp, an electric range of more than 62 miles, and 50kW DC charging capability. A new 333hp petrol engine is also joining the line-ups.

The models' exterior styling now features a 'shark-nosed face' with triangular matrix LED lights, and an illuminated rear Cupra logo with triangular tail lights.

Inside, there's an updated digital cockpit display and a new, larger 12.9in infotainment screen, as well as a 12-speaker Sennheiser sound system.

UK specs and prices for the updated Formentor and Leon are yet to be announced.
