Match spec returns to Volkswagen range amid EV line-up revisions

Date: 31 January 2024   |   Author: Sean Keywood

Volkswagen has announced the return of the Match equipment grade to its model range, along with line-up changes for some of its electric models.

Among the manufacturer's petrol and diesel powered-cars, Match versions of the Polo, T-Cross, Taigo, T-Roc, Tiguan, and Touran are now available.

These sit above the Life equipment grade in these ranges (SE Family grade with the Touran), and are priced at between £175 and £705 extra, but with added equipment including larger alloy wheels, metallic paint, tinted windows, a rear-view camera, and keyless entry.

As for the EVs, with the ID.3, the Match grade replaces the previous Pro and Pro S specs. In addition, a new entry-level Essential version of the ID.3 is now available, priced at £35,700, while an additional Pro S Essential version is priced at £39,190.

With the ID.4, new Pro Match and Pro 4M Match specs replace the previous Life and Style grades, and a new entry-level Pure Match spec is available for £42,640.

As for the ID.7, Pro Match spec (pictured) replaces the previously-announced Launch Edition. It adds metallic paint and an exterior pack, and is priced at £51,550.
