Smart has introduced a new, entry-level model to its #1 EV range.
The new Pro variant features a smaller, 49kWh battery, meaning a range between charges of 193 miles. It retains the same 272hp electric motor as the existing Pro+ variant, while 130kW DC charging capability allows a 10-80% battery charge in less than 30 minutes.
Standard equipment with the Pro includes a 12.8in infotainment screen with Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, adaptive cruise control, heated seats, a 360-degree camera system, 'intelligent' voice assistance, LED lights, and a powered tailgate.
The Pro is priced at £31,950, meaning it undercuts the Pro+ by £4,000.
