Our Fleet Test Drive: Skoda Superb - 8th report

Date: 10 May 2016   |   Author: Tristan Young

Recent weeks have seen the Superb estate slip into its perfect role: that of carrying lots of stuff on long journeys. Easter weekend saw the Young family make the annual pilgrimage to the far northwest of Scotland for a week's holiday.

It's a journey we've done many times in many different cars (and always with a roofbox attached), but the Superb is the first vehicle large enough for us to be able to close the luggage cover. The Skoda didn't miss a beat and was perfectly happy fully loaded. It was also the most comfortable car we've used for the drive, this side of a £99,000 Range Rover.

Verdict

  • Styling
  • Practicality
  • Refinement
