Ford names Boeing executive as new boss

Ford has named Alan Mulally, from Boeing, as its new global boss, with Bill Ford moving to become executive chairman.
As the new chief executive Mulally will be charged with turning Ford's global operation around - the car maker lost £680m in the first six months of this year.
