Peugeot has released the first official pictures of its new lower medium car the 308, which goes on sale in the UK in September this year.
The replacement for the 307 will go head-to-head with the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra as well as Fiat's new Bravo.
The new car is bigger in length and width, but is lower than its predecessor.
Peugeot will launch the five-door hatch with a choice of seven engine options including a 1.6-litre diesel that hits the tax-efficient 120g/km level.
