Stop start technology has appeared on Mercedes' Sprinter van for the first time.
The system, dubbed Eco-start, was given its debut on the vehicle at the CV Show.
Fuel consumption is claimed to show an improvement of at least 6% with the equipment, which is available on all 4-cylinder manual Sprinters.
On sale now at £545 more than the standard model, most of the additional cost goes toward the required special battery and alternator.
