Medium-term rental on the rise - Alphabet

Leasing firm Alphabet is reporting increasing demand for medium-term vehicle rentals as fleets hold off on deciding whether to replace vehicles.
"We are seeing significantly increased demand for medium-term vehicles rentals," said Paul Hollick, Alphabet's general manager sales development. "Many firms' budgets are tight and their business outlook remains uncertain. Fleet managers are therefore looking for solutions that bridge the gap between the long-term commitment of lasing contracts and the expense of short-term daily rental."
Alphabet offers 90-day-plus rentals cars for £9 per day and vans from £10.75 for 84 days upwards through its Alpharent branding, with cars provided in association with Avis and LCVs through Northgate Vehicle Hire. Hollick said LCV short-term hire and long-term funding forms "an import and fast-expanding part of Allphabet's business."
