The start point for the best source of fleet information

ALD delivers to housing associations

Date: 23 November 2010

ALD Automotive has delivered the first 144 vehicles to three housing associations in the north west of England as part of a new agreement with Procure Plus, a non-profit regeneration company made up of a consortia of social housing providers.

A further 123 orders are in the pipeline and ALD claimed the four-year deal could eventually result in the supply of thousands of vehicles. Light commercial vehicles, mainly panel vans, make up almost 90% of the vehicles already procured with the rest being company cars.

ALD Automotive is one of four vehicle suppliers included in the agreement and it has also been approved to provide servicing, maintenance and repairs and de-fleet services.

Procure Plus works with other social housing organisations under the Re:allies banner.

The fleet deal enables the organisations to access vans at discounted prices from Citroen, Ford and Renault and to secure cars from Ford, Renault and Volkswagen.

ALD boss Keith Allen said: "The fact that ALD Automotive has preferred supplier status and has delivered the first vehicles underlines the ability the company has to meet demand for often specially equipped vehicles in a complex market sector at a competitive price."
