The start point for the best source of fleet information

Orlando CO2 offset by price, says Chevy

Date: 14 December 2010

Chevrolet UK boss Mark Terry claims the value offered by the firm's new Orlando seven-seat Mini-MPV will mitigate emissions that are only average at best.

"The list price is very competitive and the tax impact is very competitive. Chevrolet may be average on CO2 but the value of the vehicles means tax is comparable," he told BusinessCar. "That's where Chevrolet does do well with fleet."

Terry also dismissed questions about whether the Orlando will compete with fellow GM brand Vauxhall's Zafira seven-seater, instead targeting the Mazda 5 as a key rival. "The Zafira is older, a much lower transaction price and is heavily into rental," he said. "We're not looking to put Orlando into the rental segment."
