Jaama calls for better monitoring of young business drivers

Date: 20 August 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Fleet software firm Jaama is calling for businesses to better monitor young drivers.

In reaction to The AA's Young Drivers at Risk report, the organisation is urging employers to keep a tighter check on business drivers under the age of 25.

Martin Evans, sales and operations director at Jaama, said: "Employers can try and limit those risks by, for example, not allowing young and newly qualified drivers to take to the wheel of vehicles above a prescribed horsepower [level].

"We would also recommend a minimum age policy and a minimum time period between an employee passing their test and being allowed to drive for work."
