The start point for the best source of fleet information

Quartix to track Alton Towers vehicles

Theme park Alton Towers has signed a deal with Quartix to track its 12 vehicles.

Having used vehicle tracking for four years, the business decided to change suppliers and move away from third-party leasing: "Direct rental made it attractive, and the cost is great," said transport manager Chris Richbell.

"The important thing for us is delivering the best customer service possible", explained Richbell.

The transportation team check the live tracking feature throughout the day so they can inform guests where vehicles are at any time and be a step ahead if the drivers ever find themselves in slow traffic, according to Quartix.

Daily reports also enable them to see each vehicle's activity in clear and concise tables, whilst Driver ID tags identify who is driving each vehicle at all times.

"We're big on safety", added Richbell. "It is clear to us that using the driver style feature has been a deterrent for speeding".
